Managing thoughts of suicide & self-harm

Battles

Battles

Hi all, does anyone else just feel like life is just one big sh!t show? It's just one thing after another, constant drama, family issues, money struggles, stress, anxiety it's just always something.

When do things get easier, do things ever change?

I've been through more than i care to think about in my life but today has pushed me to breaking point and it's bringing up alot of bad memories of previous suicide attempts.

I just feel like it's not worth it, it's not worth fighting, not worth hanging on anymore.

Re: Battles

@Captain24 thankyou sweet. It means alot to just know i have you and others here for me.

I'm going to do my bedtime routine now.

I have so many posts to catch up on here but I just can't manage it at the moment. But I feel so bad for not replying to people.

Re: Battles

I hope your routine brings you some comfort. @MissGremlin

Don’t worry about others just worry about yourself. We are all here for similar reasons and all battle mental health needs. We all understand that at times we can’t be there for others and need to focus on ourselves.

Re: Battles

No need to reply @MissGremlin . Just sending bedtime hugs.

I am glad your friend was able to help you the other day (if i read that right? They helped, not were the cause of severe thoughts?)

Something i came to realise through the process of my autism assessment... loud nand consistent noise really dysregulates me. All the noise and "social energy" from groups i am now certain is why my mood always crashed after going places. I stopped going to big social group things when i was 13yo because it triggered my SI desires sooo strongly. I never knew why; it wasnt logical for me to be having increased SI after being with friends. But it was a clear pattern. Now i know why, over 20 years later.

Just food for thought whether there is any patterns to the SI triggers-- although also maybr you know already what they are (eg the anxiety thoughts).

Your SI doesnt trigger me. 😊. No ones does except my own lol.

Thankyou @AlwaysMyself sweet ❤️.

It was today that it happened on the way back from my dentist appointment. But no she definitely wasn't the cause of the thoughts. She's the only in person friend that I have.

Oh wow that's so interesting and actually really understandable. I'm the same with loud and consistent noises.

I do know some of my triggers but other times it's like nothing triggers it but it's just there and it's strong.

I'm glad it doesn't, I just worry about it cos I know it can for some.

How are you going sweetheart?

Re: Battles

I have finally caught up with the email notifications!! Yay!!! Only 11min behind 😆🤣🤣🤣. Which means bedtime for me @MissGremlin lol.

I'm glad the dentist is over. And so glad for your friend 🤗. And for you to be able to let her help you and support you 😘🥰. Go you!

Im doing ok, but exhausted. Its not that im doing much active stuff, its mental exhaustion. So much internally in my brain, plus appointments, and life admin. And the past 3 weeks i have noticed a change now i am off the medication - and that extra energy in my brain is so exhausting afterwards. 🫩. And the feeling of energy when i feel motivated inside is so exhausting too.

Ok bed time for real for me!
