Part of this journey is learning to live life again. I have been so isolated and withdrawn for so long that I stopped enjoying everything in life

I can totally relate to that @hairdog . From my own experience, it's about taking one small step at a time. Don't over do it.

Tonight is my last night in the facility after 4 weeks. Go home tomorrow. Very nervous about returning to the real world. I really don't know how things will go

first of all - so so proud of you for completing the 4 weeks @hairdog totally fair to feel nervous, a lot has changed in the last month. got anything you're looking forward to once you go home?

Not really. Wife has left with kids. If i want to see kids i am going to have to move. It's all so surreal to be honest

i hear that @hairdog it might take some time to get used to the changes and figure out the next steps. and that's okay too, take your time. is moving something you're considering?

I will consider moving. But to be brutally honest I don't know if I will make it to the end of this journey.

i imagine it's really hard to look ahead and feel optimistic when life's been rough on you @hairdog but i promise you things will get better. i can't say when or give you a timeline, but i can say that we'll be here with you the whole time.
we expect our healing journey to be clear, but it's messy. there's ups and downs, and then more downs, and then more ups!
having a goal usually helps with motivating us to move forward, do you have one you can think of? it can be a small goal. have a think about it and see if there's a couple you can hold onto. we care about you heaps and want you to keep going. you've worked so hard this last month and i know you're strong enough to go on this journey.
i gotta head off for tonight, but if you are still struggling with those thoughts - please don't hesitate to reach out to crisis services:
do you still have a psych or other professional supports that you'll be seeing soon?
