Hi @hairdog I'm sorry to hear things are so rough for you. Sounds like it's hit a breaking point of exhaustion, and that's often when our brains start to look for something, anything, to give us relief.
Do you have anyone you can chat to about how you're feeling? The forums are a wonderful space to connect with others, tho if things are getting extra heavy
you can call any of the following services for immediate support:
Lifeline: 13 11 14 or Crisis Chat
Suicide call back service: 1300 659 467 or online counselling
Samaritans: 135 247
Here for you! 💜

I am all alone. My only true friend is my wife. She has decided yesterday that the marriage is over after I have been withdrawn and isolated thru depression for so long. I am so alone I don't know what to do anymore

Hi @hairdog
I'm here for a chat. One thing I'd recommend if it seems like things are falling away for you, is to try and chat through what isn't working. Forums are one spot for that, but have you been talking to a GP about the ongoing depression? Was there anything they suggested?

hey @hairdog i'm so sorry to hear about your wife. losing your favourite person, especially when you need them the most absolutely sucks but please know that you're not alone. i can't imagine how hard this must be for you, but we're here for you. there are people who care about you (myself included) and right now is a rough patch, but things CAN get better. things WILL get better.
have you finished the treatment program? are there staff from the program that you feel comfy leaning on?
sending you hugs 💙

I was meant to be out yesterday but after the recent news they will not let me go home so I am still here. I have an outpatient program to attend once released. All the nurses and psychologists are so supportive here but it doesn't make it any easier. I am so shattered lost and feel so alone

i'm glad that all the nurses and psychs have been supportive @hairdog even with the best support, terrible news still feels terrible to hear and process. i wish i had the power to take away those feelings of loneliness and pain, but like any feeling, it will pass. those feelings aren't permanent. take your time, feel your feelings. i'm sitting with you 💙

Not much to do here in the facility. Watch a bit of TV. Read and do some puzzles.

Fair enough. What are things you tend to enjoy doing in real life? @hairdog
