Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member

I went and got my air tickets and hotel booking etc durig the afternoon and the weather has turned cold here in Melbourne - the weather in Sydney can be lovely - I was in Sydney many years ago in winter and the gardens were full of winter flowering plants and I am looking forward to seeing them again - and also the Taronga Zoo Park and if the sea is not to choppy going whale watching - you are right - I do have something to look forward to - I make sure of it

Nik is right I think - people are often confused - perhaps people who think they are normal - whatever that is - are toughing it out behind a mask that makes them seem hard and uncaring - it's the way they cope with it I guess

The NT is the best place to find healing in the Bible - we were damaged by the original sin of Adam and Eve but I din't believe it's irreversible - Christ died that we could all be healed- we are still all standing in the need of prayer - we all need to confess our sins and accept the absolution- we are all redeemable - not forever lost - I truly believe this

The night has turned stormy - the wind is belting the rain against the window

My daughter is okay - she was a rather clingy child and when she was in early adolescence and her brother died she had to grow up early I think and her resentments are natural and I understand that normally she would resent that her brother who was so hard to managed got more attention - she was a pretty good kid but had to fight with herself to establish an early married life with her new daughter and three step-children and she was very young when all of this happened - but she has done very well - I don't think she is at all suicidal - but this is not something we talk about

But her brother was - I lived in a constant state of high anxiety - it's natural to feel this way - I do understand how anxious you must feel but apart from getting your son to see someone at Head Space or Beyond Blue you can't do much to be there and listen when he wants to talk

But I do know what it's like to have a child with SH. SI and SA and finally complete the act - I know the helplessness and fear - and alas - apart from taking care of yourself there is not a lot you can do - young people can be resentful of parental intrusion as they see it

I am writing this in bed and getting a cramp in my tummy so I will have to stop but I was concerned and wanted to write this for you to recieve in the morning

And I do like your new pic too - much better then the one with the umbrella

Hugs Lapses

Hi @Owlunar, I have to rush of to work (the shop) now but will check back this afternoon. Nice to see you. Thanks for talking to me. Can you check in on @Adge, bit worried about him and @Former-Member @soul for some reason. Oh, my son is getting better & tests were negative. Also, I have noticed Vit-B complex with breakfast - my pain is less that day, if you wanna try it. Gotta fly ✈

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi @Former-Member

Thanks for the message - I will see if I can hunt up the others for you -

I hope it's a good day at work for you - the best possible - and I am glad that your son's tests were negative - that is really good news

Vitamin B Complex - wow - I already take Vit D with Calcium, probiotics, Vit C and a joint repair prep - I think I might stick with a vegemite sandwich to avoid rattling - I have my other medication as well and I don't take it all at once - that would be stretching the point a bit distance

But yes - there are B group vitamins in all sorts of food I like - something I have not had for ages is malted milk powder - what a good idea to get some - actually - I tend to add it to my desert as well as drink it - I am glad it helps your pain

I think I already sent you today's Saturday pic but I will send it again

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Owlunar, just got home, still Rt sciatica pain aching. Not sure if the multiB does help but the days I take it, pain seems less, maybe, though today I needed otc strong to keep going, probably just had a good day, thought you might have heard something re B-Cplex, with all your chronic pain experience. B-vitamins are good for the nervous system so maybe. It does sound like you already do rattle from enough pills lol
