Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Re: Life can be a Pain

Hi again @Shaz51

My daughter and son-in-law went to visit my grand-daughter on the Sunshine Coast for a week - they were going to visit before I did but they were waiting for the surgeon to give my sil the all-clear to travel

He is doing really well after that operation - it's a couple of months ago now - I think - I'll just run back up my thread to check on that

Yes - it is only two months ago but reading back on my thread was interesting too - so much has happened since we suddenly had a major crisis on our hands and I felt so helpless - nothing I could do - I would have brought my grand-daughter down to Melbourne that night had she wanted to but she decided against that and did her part in letting the rest of us know what was happening - and after all of that we are lucky to have the sil with us because he was in bad shape before the operation

I think I read that you were not well during the week - two days in bed - I hope Mr Shaz brought you coffee now and again - maybe even cooked something - that would have been a real help

And I hope you are feeling better now

Wow @Shaz51

You put me to shame - I was so tired after yesterday - Fridays are my busiest days - I went to sleep watching TV and luckily I recorded what I wanted to watch so I can watch them today - didn't do any washing or even cook dinner yesterday - I had a finger bun and raspberries which is okay - I needed the sleep

I'm glad you got your hair done and saw your Mum and after all you did last night you deserve a rest today - take things easy and enjoy yourself catching up

Yes - we are writing at the same time

Re: Life can be a Pain

I think we all have those moments when we get carried away and over-do things @Shaz51

I know I do - Fridays though - I have a domestic shift, a shopping shift, then I see the doctor and have an injection and come home pain-free and often drop off to sleep

And because I went shopping I have mostly run out of things to cook - and I don't cook - what a pity

And so - fine by me that you had an energy spurt - you washed your tea-pots - I have an owl collection that needs all that attention too - in fact - my wall unit needs more thank a flick with a duster - spring cleaning? - Yes - Spring-Cleaning - and we have four weeks to go before spring unless I get an energy spurt.

So I am the opposite today - I am posting and doing bitzpiezes - getting plenty done - the soup is cooking - and it smells wonderful - I miss it when I don't get organised and last week it seems we were both flat for different reasons

Rest up today Shaz
