Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Thanks @eth

I am feeling more rested as the day moves along and yes

I like the onion analogy myself - I have probed the past deeply enough - enough of the onion has been peeled back - there are some onions that couldn't bear that kind of intrusion - maybe they are over-ripe - and other's that can take it quite well

But never let us damage the heart - the soul - the spirit - all of which bring new life

I like the......never let us damage the heart, soul and spirit.....

You have done a great job of sticking up for yourself, no easy task. Go girl I say. You give us hope that maybe one day.....

I hope the afternoon has got better and better. Thanks @Owlunar

Again I write to whinge. I can't seem to stop the distress & flashbacks I am again going through. I continue to battle with the denial amour although I am utterly spent. Just so dreadfully empty & lost. The signs & symptoms are now recognisable. Yep, now clear. Exhaution & pain are relentless, I don't have any interest in continuing. I do know that I have to keep going for the sake of my 5 cats. I love them dearly. I am ageing and not coping. I am trying to find the courage to see a new psychologist although terribly afraid. Right now I just need to shut the stuff down, be asleep & find some peace.

I don't hear you whinging @Bast - just someone who is worn out and is finding it hard to see the point of it all -

But you have your 5 cats - 5 more than me - I still miss my Companion Cat buy I am not replacing her - I am glad you have your cats - really glad

Have you asked yourself why you need to see another psychologist - you may have good reasons - I don't know but to me you really need to close down and find a still point and get some peace -

Maybe then - who knows

The search for truth - whatever that is - can be exhausting - worth it though - I am still recovering from last Thursday - and all of that was worth the effort

So I suggest you take it easy - life can be a challenge - I hear you - aging and not coping - getting older is no fun either

Sending generation understanding

Well done @Owlunar for being the best advocate for yourself. I'm proud of you.

Now time to rest and relax for a while.
