Life can be a Pain

Life can be a Pain

Hi @BlueBay@Zoe7@Former-Member@Faith-and-Hope@utopia@oceangirl@TAB@Shaz51@PeppiPatty

I know there are more people I could tag but maybe I will think them up as I go along - actually I already have

I think I need my own thread - mostly my problem is chronic pain syndrome - I damaged my spine with the sporting excesses of my youth - a long time ago now - and I managed to rearrange it when I fell of my pushbike in a wind storm nearly 22 years ago and that seems a long time ago now but there is nothing they can do except treat the pain - and I do have Section 8 medication and I see a pain specialist

And the pain has been worse lately and wears me down and I get fed up and very tired -

I have issues with my mother as well - and although she died 2 years ago I still have bad times now and again - she was abusive and as well as I know myself and her this can get to me at times - and this is another reason I opened my own thread

Then there is TS - my Toxic Sister - she was under my skin for a while but not at the moment

So yesterday I felt so bad when I went to see the doctor about my back pain - and my pain specialist has cut my medication back several times over the last few years and she has gone too far - and I started to tell my doctor - yes - I cope with the pain better since my mother died - but it's driving me crackers atm and so are the memories of my mother

So that's it for now - I have had trouble opening this thread for some reason but now I have - I will run my own story - I would like to think I don't need to but yes - I do

You are all such wonderful supportive people - you are my soft place to land - that is so true

And anyone I have missed I will tag as I go along

Lots of hugs everyone

Hi @Adge@Former-Member@utopia@Shaz51@outlander

I have done my homework for my therapist - I have written something about my sister - 4 computer pages and I'm not changing a word

I have already started to try and contact my cousins in Facebook and I have sorted out dates for my daughter to care for Companion Cat while I go to Hobart so I can start planning that with my agent now - because of the trouble with my hip I am leaving it until late February

Perhaps it's not a good idea to do all of this on the one day because it feels good but I have started - my sister shouldn't have power over me and she only has this because I want her to tell me about my extended family - I am taking my right back and I know she will not like this and might lie again

But that's up to her - she might be thinking she's standing on solid rock but it is borrowed time now -

I have survived a lot by using satire now and again or by just giving my sister and my mother "the look" it does shut people out but maybe this is true

Keeping myself safe from a spiteful person has meant that the better person is hardly known - maybe the truth of my lost son ties in with both my surviving uncles have lost a child too - there has to be something rich and wonderful to share in other people's lives if I take those steps - carefully

But 4 pages - that just came out of me in two different sessions and I found something - did our mother do something to my sister when we were all out of the way when she was young? I won't find an answer to this question but it does make me think a lot

Very pleased you are taking your power back @Owlunar. Don't rely on her for information. You start your own contact with family. You don't need her to do this. Well done.

Thanks @utopia

It's a good feeling to take this power away from her - dealing with her is impossible because she thinks she's perfect

And perfection is not what it's cracked up to be - it can never be improved upon

No such thing as perfect @Owlunar

Re: Life can be a Pain

Thanks @Shaz51 and @utopia

I know and both of you know and most other people know that there is no much thing as perfect

But (this is Dec whisperig) - don't tell my sister - she thinks - no - she knows she is - perfect

Now she was first in the queue when good looks were being handed out but I have never cared about that - I was there for the heart and mind and soul and spirit - and I change

Today I am going to the dentist - it's hot and heavy and unpleasant here and after yesterday's heat I have a headache and I would rather go back to bed - however I have cancelled my appointment 3 times already and really need to go - and the headache isn't that bad - it's better to get it over with

I have so much happening right now - I have my trip to organise too - I need to go to Flight Centre but not today - not today
