@ENKELI A health care plan is cheaper than what your private cover will pay out (the gap is significant). I know cause I’ve had physio on my back. A health plan will give you 5 free visits if it’s the same as when I had one.

I get the free 6 visits every year for physio with my back. At least by the physio clinic I want use, not opening until January, I will be able to get the 6 visits again. But with this physio, there will still be a gap to pay after they have allocated the free Medicare portion. It is not a cheap clinic, but they have specialised equipment, that sounds like exactly what I need, so I am prepared to pay for it until I can no longer afford it.

Have you had any x-Rays or scans of your shoulder yet? And yes, definitely get your 6 visits worth of physio. No point in wasting them.

@GezzaP Medicare pay $61.80. Most physio treatments are $85 - $105 so there is still a gap. It's still better than private health but I don't have the money to cover the gap regardless. So physio is out sigh.

You could try chiro @ENKELI . They are much cheaper. Or maybe Chinese acupuncture or a massage. I hope your shoulder is ok. Oh a few years ago on my health care plan my physio was bulk billed.

@GezzaP I think it depends on who you go to. Like my MHP, my psychologist bulk billed but someone else I know has to pay a gap.

It doesn't matter if it's chiro or physio, I don't have the money to pay the gap regardless so I will have to live with it until I have some money.

Fair enough @ENKELI if you don’t have the money you don’t have it. I understand as some fortnights when I have more than one bill I struggle to find the money. It’s hard isn’t it. Glad to hear it is better today.
