Thanks for the chats @Till23. Thanks, I'm not sure if it can be worked out, I'm yet to hear back from the land agent.

Hope your sport still goes ahead, stay safe out there 😊

Yep I’m definitely a non-fiction reader and I love neuropsychology. I have heard of the book @tyme. I shall check my local library and second-hand bookshop. Thanks

Remember to think positively @Former-Member

Worrying about it won’t change it. You seemed to have tried all the strategies.

Re: Life and trauma

@Till23 i do try to, but that reality of what's coming makes it hard.

I really have tried everything and yet still it hasn't changed a thing.

Well i had some good luck today. It seems the guys who work at Oportos during the lunch shift know that chips need to be a little crispy. So i actually ate the chips as well. And congrats on your win today as well!

wouldn't it be nice if we were invisible and could go to the shops without being seen by anyone. I asked if they could kick everyone out before i get there but apparently that isn't an option. You ask for one simple thing!

@MJG017 woohoo yay for the good luck and the yummy chips. Thanks ❤️.

Oh i would love to be invisible, not have to walk in there and feel like everyone is staring at me. Why isn't it an option, surely we can have the entire shopping centre to ourselves 😂.

One thing I learnt about last year that really helped me to start to change my ways of thinking was the hand model of the brain. You all may have heard of it, but if not... https://drdansiegel.com/hand-model-of-the-brain/

It's really made me think about the decisions that i make and helps me to push myself out of my comfort zone a bit and take on things i would normally avoid without question. I did a bit more on it when I did some training on looking after children who had experienced trauma.

@MJG017 random thought and wanted an opinion.

Do you believe in fate or destiny. Like if you meet someone that it was meant to be and it happened for a reason. Like you crossed paths with someone and that it's because you can give them something that they can't have but yet they wanted so badly.

@MJG017 well that was interesting to watch. Thankyou for sharing.

I think the way our brains work is we love to see pattern in things. Like we can't process the idea of random chaos so we try to assign meaning to things that are just chance.
So meeting someone that has a need or can give you something that is needed at that time is chance. We need things all the time, so where was someone all those other times. If we spend out lives struggling for money all the time and we always need money and then one day when we need $5 to buy some bread and we find $5 on the ground, is that fate? Or was it just some very good luck?

When something that seems so unlikely happen at the times it needs to happen we like to think there must be a reason for it. The odds can seem so unbelievable that it seems there must be some reason for it happening. I think a lot of people get comfort from it as well. And maybe sometime a decision is made that normally wouldn't be because it seems like fate. That decision leads to a good outcome, so in this case believing in fate, or destiny, can be a great help.
