@Former-Member You're surrounded by medical people, ask around, maybe someone there knows how to get one of those personal 'off' timer switches we talked about.

@MJG017 hmmmm not sure the nurse i have at the moment would see the funny side in that. These machines beeping could seriously make s good music track if they all played in time 🤣

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 ain't that true. Mine just keeps going off every 5 seconds but I can hear others beeping away but they are all so out of tune 🤣

@Former-Member Some people just have no rhythm. You just can't teach some things. Like reverse parking... you either have it or you dont. 🤣

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 very true. Guess that's why I don't learn new things, can't teach an old dog new tricks 🤣

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member you can, but if those old dogs are like me, they're stubborn and grumpy when they have to try new things. 😁

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 yeah I don't do trying new things. I prefer the known, that's safe.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member I think a lot of us struggle with it. Change can come with uncertainty, and when we just want stability, change and new things can feel like they threaten that stability. But life has a way of constantly forcing change on us anyway and make us crave that familiarity even more.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 change is definitely something that can't be avoided no matter how hard one tries. I just try to control as much of things as I can cos the more things change the more I struggle to cope.
