@Former-MemberIf you do get to sleep, they may leave you for a bit longer than usual.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 at the moment they are worried my heart is going to stop so I'm not even being left alone let alone able to sleep.

@Former-Member It must be so stressful knowing that may happen, but also at least a tiny bit reassuring that if it does you're in a hospital with people constantly monitoring you.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 it's not something you want to hear that's for sure. I know I'm in the right place if it does happen. My whole body is shaking both inside and out, it's really not a nice feeling.

If there's one thing I know about, it's about hearing things from doctors that you don't want to hear. It's hard, especially in the moment, but you do take some confidence from the care and attention you get. Part of it is knowing there is little more you can do to worry about what may or may not happen as you are already where you need to be and you are in other peoples hands now.

@MJG017 I'm trying so hard to not worry, but it's all just getting the better of me. I feel like I'm about to just burst into tears cos I'm so overwhelmed.

@Former-Member It's only natural to feel overwhelmed, it would get the better of anyone in your position. If you want to burst into tears, just do it. I've lost count of the times I've done it over the past couple of years and I find sometimes you just need to do it to get some of that sadness, stress, anxiety, and frustration out!

@Former-Member I can understand. It's been a totally relentless few days for you since we've been chatting. Just do the best you can and i'm sure things will start looking up for you soon.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 that's an understatement. I need a distraction right about now, I need something to make me laugh or just something that takes my mind off of things.
