Re: Life and trauma
@Oaktree @Jynx @MJG017 @tyme ok I think i got this, i put an ice pack on my neck, I wrapped myself in my weighted blanket, I've had some sips of water and I've managed to slow my breathing and heart rate down a bit.
That's by far one of the worst states of panic I've been in.
Thankyou all for the support through this ❤️.

@Former-Member
You don't need to explain anything. I know you don't like talking over the phone, but you may find it helpful just to talk to someone... just hearing another voice may be helpful.

Thank you for clarifying. We just want to make sure that you get the support you need and because SANE is not a crisis service, it would be unfair not to refer you to them. @Former-Member
Hope you feel better soon. Please feel free to take a break if you feel you need some space.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 sometimes it is. I've spoken on the phone most of today rather than using the chat.

Look at you go @Former-Member really admire how you've handled yourself through this super difficult arvo. You're so welcome, glad we could be here to keep you company when it all got too hectic. Weighted blanket eeeee yes very smart choice. Might have to drag mine out to the couch tonight, gotta get that maximum comfort zone going like you!

Re: Life and trauma
@Jynx weighted blankets are the best, i never thought I'd be able to handle the weight on me cos I have a fear of not being able to move with being too restricted. But I have 5 of them around the house so I can have access to one when I need one. Only downside here is that I screamed into my pillow too release some anger and I hurt my throat 😂. But I'd rather the sore throat than that panic state any day.

Re: Life and trauma
@Former-Member now I feel like I gotta up my weighted blanket game!! Hahaha one for every room and one for pottering around the house all wrapped up like some kind of horrible bat person 😝
Yessss I feel like scream therapy is SO underrated, like there is some very primal feelings that can come out through a scream!! But also ouch!! Got some honey and ginger tea at all? V good for sore throat 💜

Re: Life and trauma
@Jynx i don't know how I ended up with so many to be honest 😂. But I really find them helpful sometimes but not always, sometimes I can't handle being touched.
I got neither of those things and last time I had honey i ended up in hospital in excruciating pain, think I'll avoid the honey for now 😂.
I watched that video that you posted @MJG017, I had to contain my laughter, that was just hilarious 😂.
I'm listening to music and colouring now. Never realised how sore your body could be after a panic attack, is that normal?
