@Former-Member totally fair - for future, you would definitely not be a bother! I used to work on there and we'd have some folks call 3-4 times a day, some just for grounding, others due to loneliness and isolation, and others just needed to have that external reassurance. But I totally understand that sometimes picking up the phone is itself a monumental mental effort, hey.

Re: Life and trauma
@MJG017 i just splashed some cold water on my face and I'm trying to take some sips of water. I'm almost in a full blown panic state, I can't sit still, I can't control my body properly. It's so full on at the moment.

Re: Life and trauma
@Jynx thanks. I rang them yesterday for the first time and the person I got was lovely and so understanding. It really made a difference to have someone just sit in that moment and listen and show compassion. But it's not easy to phone when I'm in this state.

Hey @Former-Member ,
I think it is time you had a break from the forums to reach out to crisis lines you need.

@Oaktree not able to shower at the moment. I did splash some water on my face though but it didn't make a difference.

For TIPP to work you may need water out of fridge or freezer. Double bag some water in a resealable bag and try that…

Re: Life and trauma
@tyme I'm ok. I know the crisis lines are there if I need them. I'm trying hard to manage this myself as I can't even explain the situation that's caused this state of panic.
