Arghh... joys of communication. @BlueBay

Hope you feel better soon. Sounds like a yucky situation.

So are you making dinner tonight? Or you going out for dinner?

Re: Anxiety is hight

No of course I’m making dinner. He has no idea what dinner is!!!

I just fried mince and added all veggies I had in fridge. I’ll cook rice soon.
our son is staying for dinner too which is nice.

Re: Anxiety is hight

LOL. I don't think you are alone in this @BlueBay .

I hear it all the time.

I don't want to turn this into a gender-based convo, but I know what you mean.

I think I, too, expect them to do certain things, but I'm told it's wishful thinking.

Glad your son is staying. Have fun!

This morning, I was at the shops. I met someone I knew who was getting coffee. He had his 5 year old son with him who was getting a hot choc.

He told me he was having daddy/son fellowship and time. It was so sweet. It was 8am or something. Supposedly the mother and father take turns to spend time with him. Mum takes the kid for coffee in the morning some days, and the father takes him other days. Btw, the family's not separated or anything. They just feel it's important to spend quality time with their kid.

It was really sweet. They invited me too, but I didn't want to intrude on their 'fellowship' as they called it.

Re: Anxiety is hight

@BlueBay that's so rough hun 🥺

Communication can be soooo hard, esp when each person might have their own set of definitions/ideas/expectations/experiences that will shape how they interpret things. Have things settled a bit now?

In response to: Re: Anxiety is hight

Re: Anxiety is hight

It has settled now but I feel he doesn’t listen to me

doesn’t validate what I say

turns things around

I’m always to blame

I do t park right

I don’t put things in the right spot in the fridge

it just goes on and on and on

Re: Anxiety is hight

@BlueBay sounds exhausting darlin. I'm sorry you are dealing with that. Have you been able to do something nice for yourself tonight?

Re: Anxiety is hight

I don't want to discredit how you are feeling, so I just want to say I totally hear your frustration.

I wonder if he picks on these little things because he's so close to you? Why I'm saying this is because for me, my sister ticks me off so much by commenting on little things ("Oh, you're wearing that, are you? Why'd you do that? etc". I get annoyed, but I don't hold a grudge because deep down, I know it's because we are close.

Do you think this is the case? @BlueBay

@BlueBay , it always feels worse when we are not feeling well either
