Gosh, some people are so ignorant and insensitive arent they @Cuddlebear . 😔 im sorry you had to encounter one of them today. Im often really encouraged and amazed by how much perseverance, determination and problem-solving people with disabilities show to overcome the barriers that unaware-abled people create. I wish you didnt have to struggle against systems/mindsets though, and that people would create/think with an inclusive-accessibility mindset/design as default.
Parts of your body may not be able to do everything someone else can, but you are still such an important and worthwhile person because who you are as a person cannot be restricted to or defined by a mere physical body.
I will let you know how he goes. Xrays will be very good to have because I think he has been developing early arthritis anyway. It felt good to get to the vet clinic and have them check him over to ensure nothing immediately dangerous, and hopefully they may also be able to give us some advice for if he has bouts of severe pain what to do (eg medication pain relief). Knowing he is safe is good. And he doesnt dislike going to a vet clinic because there is always nice friendly people and usually dog treats, so he is not averse to them.
