Oh @Cuddlebear just reading more details here about the additional stress of the place needing repairs and oh my gosh she shower door not dodgy too?! 😮 I honestly don't understand how a landlord - or their rental agent! - can rent out a place that needs fundamental repairs. I feel they should repair it prior to a tennant moving/paying. And I say that as someone who has just been doing that to my apartment that I'm about to rent out (because I needed to move back into my parents house) - I could not in good conscious rent out my apartment before getting the flooring and walls repaired, or even replacing the ripped sheer-curtain!
I hope you are able to type out a big list of all the urgent repairs and all the non-urgent-but-required repairs to send to the rental agent to get addressed ASAP. I feel that not being able to shower is in the fairly-urgent-repairs category.
I really hope your support worker is able to help you address the most impacting areas of clutter or unpacking or furtniture-placement needing adjustment.
This might sound silly, but I am a very daggy but practical person 😅, would putting some foam or bubble wrap on the furtniture/bench corners until you are used to the layout help reduce the injury from bumping into them?
My family and some others I know do this whenever there is an inconvenient corner we keep hitting ourselves on 😅, or an overhang for our heads to whack.
How long do you think it usually takes you to learn a new furniture/house layout?
(I have a funny story about this a friend told me as a teen if you need a laugh.)
