Home from work, got my oodie on to keep me warm. Put on some TV to unwind now.

I have raised 2 guide dog pups in the past @Cuddlebear. I love Labradors. One was golden/yellow and one was black. They were the first 2 dogs I ever had (not at the same time). Its such a good program for the puppy-raisers, and such a good aid for the vision-impaired (who want one); a real win-win i think. 🥰

I had a really good day today. Its been a long while since ive been able to say that. I felt productive and interested in my work, and I also got to catch up with a friendly coworker who I hadn't chatted to properly for waayyy too long. 😊 its nice to be able to bring positive news for once!

Sitting with you and here for you

@Shaz51 I just made a coffee too. Paid bond and rent in advance for new place today. Don’t get keys till 22nd August but had to sign lease and pay monies.

Thank you for sitting with me. All I’ve had all day is a certain person putting me down making me feel worthless so it’s so nice to be sipping a coffee with you.

Im sorry to hear @Cuddlebear . Id love to join you and @Shaz51 (and anyone else) for a cuppa. Id also love to remind you that I like your personality and nature that ive seen here, and you are a worthwhile person in my books. 😊

I've had a busy day, started off OK until my dog was in lots of pain from an unknown cause. 😭 super stressful for me when hes crying in painful yelps and I cant do anything to relieve it. But we managed to get him seen by the emergency vet hospital because we didnt know if it could be abdominal or a blockage or what and he was in such pain. Thankfully his pain has calmed down somewhat now and the vets were able to poke and prod abit and rule out the life-threatening types of abdomen or blockages. They think it is musculoskeletal and hes currently having xrays and i'll pick him up later. Many of the vet staff were excited to meet him though and give him pats because hes a very usual dog 🥰 so its lovely that both the vets and him get some love and happiness despite his intermittent pain.

So if I disappear suddenly, its probably that ive had a callback from the vets!

@AlwaysMyself I’m really glad your fur baby doesn’t have any obstructions as that requires emergency surgery too and it’s so stressful on the whole family. It’s good the vet is doing X rays and I really am hoping they can pin point any problem and treat it quickly and effectively. It’s also good his pain has calmed down and I totally understand the level of stress it causes. How are you feeling now? It’s scary and worrying when our babies get unwell. Keep me updated and I am here if you need to talk. You are an absolutely pawsome parent.

Thank you for the kind words. I really do appreciate it. Sometimes people with disabilities get put down for not being able to do things that a person without that disability can. That’s what happened today.
