FebFast - can we get a group together here?

FebFast - can we get a group together here?

Hello All,

I think we've all heard it before and I'm sure a lot of you stay away from the booze, well I don't and I have been encouraged to stop for a month.

So how about for anyone interested we do a FebFast group here (not registering on the site), just something where we can support eachother. I need to get off the grog and I'm sure together it's more fun.

@NikNik or any other moderator, did you mention that anywhere yet?

Hi @Former-Member @Former-Member @NikNik,

Count me in for Feb Fast. I only saw this thread so I'm a little late, but I was thinking about this last month, after the Chrissy break. I've broken my ankle too so I'm really motivated to stay healthy so that my body can recover.

So I'm jumping on board the healthy wagon.

Day 1 - It's a really hot day. I'm currently working, but I think I'll feel like cold bevvy after work. But instead, I'm going to enjoy drinking coconut water instead - refreshing!

@CherryBomb, hope your ankle will get better soon! It's terrible to be motivated when injured 😞

FebFast Day 6 is over, another dinner with workmates out of the way with apple juice and sparking water 🙂 and no silly comments.

After 6 days and actually feeling slightly better I wonder... but then I get scared that it's just a little break, as usual until the next *boom*

Oh gosh! @ Flower, I've never heard of 'FebFast' and thought it was some kind of juice fast (no solid food), but alcohol free - I already do that. Good luck with it though. Take my jat pff to ya, but understand - could easily be an alcoholic. xox

As suspected today after work, I felt like a drink. I didn't have coconut water as planned, but there was also no alcohol (well, none that I like to drink) in the house so that made it pretty easy.

@Zoe7 and @Former-Member, my ankle is ok. The hardest thing is being in active, and getting by on crutches, which means having no hands. It makes things like carrying a cup of coffee, or plates to the dinning table, or even having a shower (on the one leg) impossible. But I've found ways to get by, like putting food and drinks in containers and wearing a backpack around the house.

Re: FebFast - can we get a group together here?

@CherryBomb It does make things really difficult to do on crutches! I love the way you have found ways to get by - well don! How long are you expected to be on crutches?

@Former-Member Keep up the good work. You are doing very well. 6 days down - that is a fantastic achievement already. Keep going one day at a time - try to stay positive (I know this is easier said than done!).

I don't drink (which in my present state is probably a really good thing) so I am only joining you guys on this journey as an outsider - and to keep encouraging you when I'm able to.

and @NikNik @Former-Member

Keep it up - you are all doing a great job

@Appleblossom you are a rebel my friend - love your work also!!!!!
