IMPORTANT UPDATE: Peer Group Chat & Sunday Hangout

Dear Valued Forumites,

This Sunday, 17th November 2024, will be the FINAL chat on our current Chatwee Platform.

We are still busily testing other platforms but have not yet come to a decision as there are many factors we need to take into consideration when hosting live chats.

Due to this, we will not be able to hold any more live chats on Chatwee after this Sunday's Hangout (17/11/24).

I recognise this can shake a few things up for people, especially for those who regularly attend these sessions.

I want to give members this space to ask questions or provide suggestions about how we can best support members during this interim period.

Questions include:

1) Do people want a 'break' from the chats and we wait a few weeks until we have a solution?

2) Do people want to wind up from the chats this year and recommence in 2025?

3) Do people feel we can hold the chats on the forums and follow a similar pattern of chat we currently have on the Chatwee platform?

4) Do people have any amazing ideas they want so share about what we can do in lieu of these chats?

Please know, SANE understands how important these live connections are. At this stage, there is no definitely timeline, but rest assured, we have a team working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the chats going again.

I really miss those convos and was wondering if anything new has been implemented?

@rav3n Thanks. Not quite the same as live chat. I find it hard to write on the forums from my phone (the way I access internet at home). Are there plans to find a replacement instant messaging app?

i hear you @Alonely it is quite different having those live peer chats. last i heard, various live chat platforms were being looked into but i don't think we've found a replacement. i'll tag @tyme as well and see if there's an update

hey @Alonely i spoke with tyme and it seems that there is work being done to potentially build a platform that could facilitate those live chats, however, it won't be ready any time soon (this things take a lot of time to create and test out). so for now, the Sunday chats and Saturday soiree will be around for those who want to connect. hope to see you in them 💙
