IMPORTANT UPDATE: Peer Group Chat & Sunday Hangout

Dear Valued Forumites,

This Sunday, 17th November 2024, will be the FINAL chat on our current Chatwee Platform.

We are still busily testing other platforms but have not yet come to a decision as there are many factors we need to take into consideration when hosting live chats.

Due to this, we will not be able to hold any more live chats on Chatwee after this Sunday's Hangout (17/11/24).

I recognise this can shake a few things up for people, especially for those who regularly attend these sessions.

I want to give members this space to ask questions or provide suggestions about how we can best support members during this interim period.

Questions include:

1) Do people want a 'break' from the chats and we wait a few weeks until we have a solution?

2) Do people want to wind up from the chats this year and recommence in 2025?

3) Do people feel we can hold the chats on the forums and follow a similar pattern of chat we currently have on the Chatwee platform?

4) Do people have any amazing ideas they want so share about what we can do in lieu of these chats?

Please know, SANE understands how important these live connections are. At this stage, there is no definitely timeline, but rest assured, we have a team working tirelessly behind the scenes to get the chats going again.

Thanks for the update and information. It’s good to know so I don’t miss the chat especially if we are going to finish up for the year. I am not sure what will be best moving forward but I think as soon as you have replaced the platform we should start up again. A lot of consumers need this connection

I don’t think they can because the contract will have ended from what Tyme has previously said.

I’m disappointed that the PGC have been affected. I think a break until it can be organised is a good idea. If it goes to similar to topic Tuesdays was then I’m out as I couldn’t follow along.

@tyme I've never had a chance to join the PGC on Sundays but I liked knowing the option was there. Am a little scared not to have it. But I understand if it can't be replaced with something in the meantime.

18th Nov is the last day we can access Chatwee @ArraDreaming @Captain24 @Oaktree Hence the last date for the chat is Sunday, 17th November 2024.

We tried Zoom, but it just didn't fit the purpose. We are trying two other platforms and testing everything.

It's different on mental health chats than other chats as we need moderator status and the ability to edit posts, add/remove members. We also need to have some sort of information about participants if there is risk.

So yes... there's a lot more I don't understand, but I just know we are getting something up as soon as we can. It is front and foremost.

Sundays were really chill and relaxed @Cleo2 . Feel free to join us this Sunday if you are able. 7pm AEDT. We just meet and chat about anything. It's not structured like Thursday.

As for finding a replacement, we having found anything else that is fit for purpose.

@Cleo2 , although, please know that there will still be people on the forums.

Or, what we can do is maybe open a thread like Who's Up for a Random Chat? on Sunday's?

I'm not sure about Thursdays though. I'm open to everyone's guidance @Cleo2 @ArraDreaming @Captain24 @Oaktree
