  • I have Osteoporosis which i will need medication as my bone density has decreased because of the kidney disease
  • they believe that the Liver function is up because of the kidney disease
  • Kidney disease affects every part of your body

do you find heat packs helpful for aches? -- will remember to use them more @rav3n

cant take too many pain medication because of the kidney

the specialist wants me to have a injection for my osteoporosis but the doctor says no because of my kidney levels

Re: One Day at a time here

my mum gets a lot of aches and arthritis related pains so she uses heat packs and ointments @Shaz51 it doesn't take away the pain/aches entirely but it does reduce it a bit.

it's hard when you can't get pain meds or injection, sucks that there's a limited amount of things to reduce the pain. has your doc ever mentioned if saunas or massages are safe/helpful to use in pain management? i'm not too educated around those areas but i have heard it works for some.

yes going to use heat packs and ointments more often to help me

some days are worst then others , like your mum , hope she is ok xx

the kidney specialist said that everything that i am experiencing is heading towards dialysis in the future

Re: One Day at a time here

Sorry to hear about your pain @Shaz51 and recognise the kidney disease makes it harder to manage due to medication restriction. I am wondering if you have a physiotherapist or exercise physiologist for some gentle exercises to help manage pain?

Oh Shaz hugs 🫂 🤗

So sore and so tired, I hear you.

Wish I could conjure up a good night's sleep for you and a spa day...

Sorry I didn't see your post earlier.

Hope you're rested and well fed and the pain has eased this evening.
