Am Not Coping

Am Not Coping

I am really not coping at the moment but this is entirely on ME!

This is a message for a few people on here @utopia @Former-Member @Faith-and-Hope @Former-Member

that I asked could be passed on but it seems that only part of it has been and I understand from the responses that have made it through my emails that I have caused untold distress for some people. I was not going to return because of what I felt I put people through but I especially wanted @utopia and @Former-Member to know that they were not wrong at the time and I was going through a real crisis period. You both held me together for longer than I could myself until the point where my own self-destructive thoughts overwhelmed me.

The entire message that I sent to SANE is below:

I have just viewed the multitude of emails and messages sent from forum members and members of the SANE team – as well as the text and voice message left on my phone.

I have not been able to communicate with anyone since the other night as I have been recovering from what ended up being an unsuccessful attempt to end the pain.

At the time I was in a very distressed state and I did want to stop the pain and all I seemed to achieve is to cause others pain and worry and that is the last thing I wanted to do – I just wanted to end mine and say goodbye to everyone beforehand so my future absence was explained. I should have realised that the message I posted would have concerned some people but I really was not in any state to think about the repercussions for others.

I am so sorry I caused so much distress to others – that is something I will have to hopefully try and live with.

I don’t believe after the concern and anxiety I caused to so many that I will ever be able to return to the forum.

Can someone from the SANE team please explain all this to all those involved and pass on my gratitude for their compassion, concerns and kind words throughout the time I have been part of the ‘forum family’.

Thank you and sorry again for the difficult position I put everyone in.

Zoe7

I do not want any responses from any of you. I just wanted to let you know exactly what has happened and let you know how truly sorry I am for hurting people I have come to think of as friends and family, and who I really care about.

Your support, advice and compassion are what make you all the wonderful people you are.

@utopia and @Former-Member I am so sorry that the trust you placed in me has now been broken because of my actions. I also felt that we had a stronger connection, especially over the last week, and you both helped me in ways I cannot even describe or explain. I was not pulling away from you two - just wanted to pull away from myself. I couldn't cope with my own feelings and no-one or nothing was actually going to be able to stop me at the time. It's now just another failure to add to my list of failures. I really don't know what else to say to you both but to reiterate my heartfelt 'sorry'.

Re: Am Not Coping

Hope the interview goes well @MDT and all your questions can be answered also.

Just heading back outside myself now after a break and watching a little tennis.

Goodluck with your afternoon buddy

no @Sam3 I haven't heard of the thyroid impacting depression. That's a new one. I have however heard of the impacts of diet on depression - specifically certain microbes can limit or increase depressive symptoms. I think it probably has something to do with the additives reacting with the microbes in the gut. So the more natural, healthier you eat, the better your entire body operates.
I'm butchering the scientific explanation but I remember reading about it at the museum of natural history in NYC when I was there last year. Funnily enough it was the same day that I had a paniced episode in the morning. Confirming my suspicion that my diet was affecting my mental health lol

Thanks for asking, am I ok? @Sam3

Im working through some heavy “stuff”. Best I don’t say anything. You and everyone have enough to deal with.

Take care. 🌷🌸🌺☕️

Re: Am Not Coping

Please use us as a sounding board if you need @Former-Member We are all here for each other and you are just as important as everyone and deserve to be heard just as everyone here does. I am more than willing to listen to you Hon - especially if you are dealing with some heavy stuff right now - this is exactly when you need our support. Don't pull away when you need support the most - you don't even have to say what is happening for you if you don't want to but know we are here and listening either way.

Loads of these and a few of these 🌹🌷🌸🌺💐

phone interview done

@Zoe7 @Sam3 @TAB @Former-Member

Biggest positive: Secure, stable and relatively okay income

Biggest negative: You go where you are told. This could be in whoop whoop land or central London.

I have til tuesday to mull over it. Considering going with a recruitment company instead. Can hand them my resume. They do it for me. Although the pub work would be safe and secure, you are privy to them telling you where to go - regardless of the preference.

Re: Am Not Coping

I can see why the negatives would put you off @MDT I would hate to be stuck somewhere where you didn't want to be. Going with the recruitment company sounds like a good idea - especially if it can be in an area you want to live/work.

Thinking of you @Former-Member as you wade through what sounds like murky stuff. BTW I agree with @Zoe7 - it’s what the forum is for. @MDT it’s so good visa stuff is finally sorted & you’re well informed for the interview. Any updates? I’ve had some worthwhile phone calls to prospective employer & found one I’m quite keen on so will try to forward application soon. Will take my 9yo to a friend’s house soon but not sure if I should email company first so it’s timely with today’s conversation (there is no deadline which probably means get in early to be the one recruited!). Again, thinking of you @Former-Member in particular & other forumites

Re: Am Not Coping

I would suggest emailing staright away so it is fresh in your mind @Sam3 - especially if you have had a positive phone call - those positive vibes often carry over in what we write.

Re: Am Not Coping

@Sam3 - That sounds pretty promising with the prospective employer for the job you are quite keen on. Wishing you the very best of luck with your application, hopefully interview and subsequently recruitment. Have to be positive after all. 😊
@Former-Member - Sorry to read you are dealing with some 'heavy' stuff right now. Please dont close up about it all, I know from personal experience that it doesnt help. It is much better to talk about things if at all possible. However I also respect that you may not feel able to talk about things either. If you do ... please feel free to tag me in. As @Zoe7 said - here is a great place (safe, understanding and supportive) to discuss the bad stuff when we feel the need to. Thanks for your message on my thread too - very much appreciated my friend. Hi @MDT.
