THANK YOU! Community Spirit on SANE Forums - World Mental Health Day

As you may all know, it is Mental Health Awareness Month.

Today, Thursday 10th October 2024, is World Mental Health Day.

Thank you to everyone who joined us today to recognise this day and showcase the impact SANE Services, especially the forums, have had on their recovery.

It brings me, and the team, immense joy to see SANE's Forum Community come together as 2024 marks the 10 year anniversary of SANE as a digital mental health service.

Could the change makers see the conversations we were having in real time on the forums. I think we were all hoping to have interactions with the change makers but that didn’t happen. I just want to know if me getting out of bed early was worthwhile. @ArraDreaming @MJG017 and myself were conversing during the event times

I think even if they don’t interact they would of seen the forums in action which is awesome @Oaktree especially given the time of day would normally be quiet well I know I can’t make it on during the day

Yes @Oaktree ! That's exactly what happened! We could see the live conversations and it was great to follow along! It was a bit of a challenge to ask them to post as they weren't so sure. However, they mentioned they will look into it later.

It is great that they got to see how strong this community is! A person on an adoptees facebook group told me she called that community 'our tribe'. I liked that. A tribe is not just a family, but a collection of people brought together, supporting each other while working towards a similar goal. So I sort of think of everyone here as 'my tribe'. I can't think of anywhere else in my life where the people have supported me more or understood me more.
