Never being in a relationship

Never being in a relationship

Does anyone here believe they are destined to not being in a relationship? I feel this way a lot as I feel like I’m not a desirable person.

I’ve worked hard to be content and satisfied in life but I feel like that’s just gaslighting myself to think that’s what I need to be accepted.

I feel so sad

Re: Never being in a relationship

I did something today that made me feel really bad, even worse than before. I decided to go to a brothel and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I ended up running out due to feeling absolutely terrified and also over the cost as well.

I thought I couldn’t feel worse. I do now

If you don't mind me asking, what are things you DO have that you are grateful for? @Former-Member

@tyme

I have a job and good friends and supportive family and a variety of hobbies and interests.

i certainly don’t take these for granted and have used these to help me get by for years. However their power is waning under the weight of routinely being rejected in dating for years and years.

Thanks for sharing @Former-Member .

Would you consider giving one of your mates a call tonight @Former-Member ? Even for just a quick chat? It may help to 'get out your own head' a bit. No pressure. Only if you feel up to it.

I hate talking on the phone. I go mute on the phone. I can try and text though

Text is a good idea. Me too. I prefer text based convos. @Former-Member

When I'm less busy, I respond to all the people I haven't responded to yet. I don't 'expect' an answer back from them straight away, but at least I can tick it off my to-do list. Some people just like checking in and I don't have time to do so.

There are also people who send me weird youtube videos, social media posts and stuff, and I honestly can't be bothered opening such things.

I'll stop blahing... bottom line, if texting works for you, go for it mate 🙂

I'm going to be now. But wanted to say it's lovely seeing you here tonight.

Hearing you about feeling rejected by the opposite sex. It can really hurt if we put our whole being into it. Our inner wounds can easily get triggered but others don't define you. I decided against the online dating thing.I tried it a while back but it was not right for me. So I am sticking with... If I don't meet someone in real life I am not meant to meet them.

@Former-Member

I identify as on the spectrum and am hopeless at the girl boy stuff... I am older so you think I'd have figured it out a bit.

I think you have a lot of courage to share your sensitivity and experience.

I take solace in appreciation of my independence and sense that a bad relationship can be worse than none.

Take care
