Never being in a relationship

Never being in a relationship

Does anyone here believe they are destined to not being in a relationship? I feel this way a lot as I feel like I’m not a desirable person.

I’ve worked hard to be content and satisfied in life but I feel like that’s just gaslighting myself to think that’s what I need to be accepted.

I feel so sad

Maybe it'll just come in its own time? @Former-Member

Longing for things you don't have may send you into deep depression and anxiety. Is it worth it?

You are only in control of the now. Embrace the now. What can you do now that will help you reach your goal?

@tyme

I dont know, I am utterly exhausted and am only thinking about the end now

Re: Never being in a relationship

Actually, you are right... I have found that always thinking of the end can be sooooo exhausting! No wonder you feel flat and want to give up!

All your brain power and energy is going into the things you don't have.

Would you consider the things you DO have right now, and also reframe it to be the things you don't have - YET? @Former-Member

Come on mate, you can do it!

Miracles happen when we least expect.

@tyme

I’ve been told that for years that things will change often when we least expect it. But they don’t and have never looked like changing.

if there are people who can be in multiple relationships and I can’t, then this world is messed up and unfair and I want no further part in it. There is no support groups for me out there and I can’t do it anymore. I don’t like the idea of trying anymore because I can see literally no change whatsoever. There is no one else out there that’s in my position and none of these groups are able to articulate how I feel. I’m absolutely sick of it

@tyme and be invalidated by them too, no chance. I dont have time for them because they cant help me. It will just be the same conversation, the same one ive had time and again for 10 years.

Re: Never being in a relationship

Fair enough @Former-Member .

Are we giving you anything different on the forums? (just outta curiosity).

I guess we are not hear to 'solve' things but rather, to sit with each other so they feel less alone. I'm not sure I can solve things for anyone here.

@tyme

I just want a support group where I am surrounded by like minded people, not people who dont want to be in a relationship or are in multiple relationships.

The only group I can think who could relate to me are incels
