Coin Collectors' Corner

Coin Collectors' Corner

Hey Everyone!

I thought I'd open this space up to talk all things coins!

I've noticed that we have a few interested coin collectors.

@Mustang67 @Harmonium @Shaz51 @Snowie Feel free to tag anyone.

I'm a bit gutted that I missed out on the Bluey coin collection. I was waiting eagerly for it 😞

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

I am just catching up on my messages @Mustang67 and thank you for the link. Yes Coins Australia is the cheapest place. I'll keep my eye on it.

My dad served in Vietnam and I have his medals, as well as the commemorative medal and certificate that was offered to all who served. Dad didn't want them so he let me keep them. It would be cool to get the $2 coin to add to the collection.

@ENKELI it would be great to add that $2 coin to your collection.

Hi @ENKELI I just found a shop that is cheaper than Coins Australia. Here is the link.

They are awesome coins @Mustang67 !! I like the Western Warrior Divisible 1oz Silver Round Front one, haven’t seen anything like that one before!

Here was the coin I found the other week, won’t beat any of yours but I thought of you when I found it haha ☺️

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@ENKELI I wanted to research what all the $2 coins that I won would be worth. I took note of the lowest and highest prices, not including the exorbitant prices on Ebay.

At the cheapest prices I could find, it would be worth $656 and at the highest prices $1,384. The Vietnam Coin ranged between $50 and $110. that's why it always pays to do your research.

I use this spreadsheet to track how much the coin costs + postage, so I can easily see where the best place is to purchase a particular coin from. Hope the link works for you. Here is a screen shot to give you an idea.

Re: Coin Collectors' Corner

@Chasingsunsets that's from the 2022 Great Aussie Coin Hunt number 3. It was given out in change at the post offices.

It looks like it is in reasonable condition, so it could be worth more than face value, but I don't think it will be worth a lot.
