@Judi9877 The butterfly coin is a 2oz Silver coin with a diamond at the tip of the wings. So, to date this is the most expensive coin I have. But as soon as I saw it, I just knew I had to have it. It has two of my favourite things, diamonds and butterflies. Plus, it has meaning to me, as my name means butterfly. I only have one other 2oz coin, but I won that coin. in a coin dip on Tik Tok. It only cost me $20.00. The price of 2oz coins is out of my budget range. Lol

Is this the coin that you were talking about? It is a great looking coin.

It is sold out at the mint and a few shops that I look at. But if you are really keen and want to spoil yourself, I found one available here 2025 Australian Kookaburra
I have currently switched to buying bullion coins, as an investment for my daughter's inheritance. This way I still get the pleasure of learning and communicating with the coin collecting community. So, it gives me something to be interested in.
I have decided to start collecting coins from the Perth Mint Koala Bullion Series. This series has been going for a long time, so if I see a previous year's coin, at a reasonable price, I purchase it. I don't think I will try and collect the full set, as the coins from the earlier years are too expensive for my liking. And it is 1oz of silver, so when my daughter takes it to a bullion store to sell it, she will only get what the silver spot price is for 1oz. So, if I pay too much for it, it is money lost. Unless she wants to try and sell it to the coin collecting market, then she might be able to get more for it.
And I recently purchased a Panda Bullion coin at an auction. this series is from China, and if I can pick them up cheaply in an auction, I will do so.
