Time away from forums

Time away from forums

Hi all

I’ll be spending some time away from the forums since I’m not doing so good, no safety concerns, but I think I’m just simply too much for everyone here on the forums. My emotions are too much. May brain is too much. I don’t want to drown people in my pain, everyone is better off with me off the forums. I hope our paths cross again. Will say goodbye and wish you all the best. Sorry for being a pain

Re: Time away from forums

@Snowie I didn’t even get this notification, but I was brain dead yesterday to respond yesterday. I’ve been pretty deregulated today, didn’t sleep well. You know the low mood plus wired feeling. My mood sucks yet I have all this energy and racing thoughts. I worked from home and told them I was sick. My head has also been heavy.

I hope today has been kind to you 💖🫂

I think there are lots of us who are not getting all the notifications @creative_writer

I'm sorry you are feeling that way hon. It was good that you could work from home today. Hard to go into work when feeling like this.

Can understand the low mood but at the same time our brain is racing.

Re: Time away from forums

@Snowie I’m going into crisis mode, but I’m safe for now. These thoughts are too loud, my mood is low and I have excess energy. I’m getting lots of thoughts around trauma and other random things. I just feel frustrated and overstimulated. I want it to stop. Sorry to dump that on you

Here with you @creative_writer - anything you wanna chat about? Or would some distracty chats help? 💜

Re: Time away from forums

I'm glad you are safe for now, but perhaps you could try to slow everything down @creative_writer

Can you just concentrate on the next 10mins or so. Just concentrate on getting through that time. Maybe you can do something or watch something, to try and slow things down a bit.

@Jynx I honestly don’t know what I want, I just want these thoughts to slow down. Not fun being this wired while depressed. I just took a PRN and will take the rest of my meds later tonight. I’m very sensitive to sleep deprivation.

@Snowie I might try some prayers, and might try reading some Arabic, but not sure how far I can go with reading since I’m heightened. If I put pressure on myself to do lots of things I get overwhelmed and then end up in bed scrolling on my phone

Re: Time away from forums

@creative_writer absolutely legit, feeling overwhelmed/dysregulated makes it that much harder to be decisive and know what you want. I hope the meds kick in swiftly for ya hun. Don't forget your breathing 😉💜

Re: Time away from forums

@Jynx starting to feel a bit more relaxed, but I reckon I’ll need to sleep it off tonight. Good sleep stabilises mood and helps with migraine pain.

I’m not sure what happened with sleep last night.

My parents are also trying to match me with someone too and it’s scaring me. How do I know if the guy is emotionally mature enough to give me the space to be away from everything? Does going into a relationship mean a loss of independence?

Re: Time away from forums

@creative_writer oh for sure, I hope tonight brings you some very restful slumber!

Hmm well the only way to determine if he's a good fit would be to meet up and get to know him - which of course, you don't have to do if you don't want to. As for loss of independence well... In my experience, healthy relationships foster a healthy independence, where each person is there to support and encourage, but not to choose or control. If he does stuff that feels controlling, well you know he's not a good match.
