Hi @mr-robot-75 ,
I heard something about TAFE teachers striking because they are paid several thousand dollars less than teachers in schools. Does this affect you?
I've had a hectic week these past few weeks. School has been so stressful. Not because of the students, not because of the parents, but because of teacher politics. This is the part I hate about education. The part where there are always those who are watching and waiting for you to fall or to make a mistake.
I was pulled into the principal's office for an hour because 2 assistant principals had issues with my work. I felt ganged up on. I don't understand why I need to justify my work to 2 people who feel threatened. I came away upset by it. At the same time, I haven't done anything wrong. Some people are just plain evil. And it's not as though I want their position even though I am more qualified than them.
Anyway, I hope the prin sees through it all.
I'm not one to fight back in this case. I'm a firm believer that what comes around, goes around and it'll only be a matter of time before their downfall. I don't need to stress about it. And i need to keep telling myself that.
Not sure if anyone has any suggestions how to keep my chin up and keep going. I'm determined not to let them pull me down even if they make my life hell @mr-robot-75 @Shaz51 @Zoe7 @Snowie . At least I have people on my side who are checking in with me and have been so supportive. I guess this is part of working in a big school. There's some who adore you and other who hate you.
I also wanted to say hi to other perhaps educators in this hub and say that it's great to have you here. Hope you can share a little about your experiences. It would be great to connect. @101613 @Wren1 @MichelleVu @Austin08 @AmbitiousWoman @Jacob7 @GADzooks @misty8 @Cat381 @OM108 @Appleblossom @KittyLove1984 @tyme
Hope things are better for you all.
