Talking through trauma and PTSD

Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

A line from a song from my favourite artist. On struggle street atm. Having seriously bad flares with the cptsd and ongoing unusual "funny turns" that nobody seems interested in figuring them out. I suspect a drug may be a factor but am a john West reject from the public mh system. It's scary, severely restricting my functioning and I'm going backwards at 90 miles an hour. And I'm a waterfall. I was verbally abused by a male recently and it triggered me so badly. Everything has gone in the too hard basket. I'm beginning to hate Mondays. They've become an extension of weekends. I don't usually wallow but my body feels like it's run too many marathons and I can't busy myself out of my heads pace.

@Tilz Famous Last Words. I crashed and burned. Ended up spending 24 hours in hospital under an order. I got sick really suddenly and feeling pretty awful right now. After a bit of a discussion a compromise was reached and Im getting HITH.

Im hoping for some answers and an opportunity to review my situation. RIght now I just feel sick and miserable and my crazy brain is having heaps of fun. I just wish it would play games during daylight hours.

I foresee more emdr when Im back on my feet so challenging times ahead.

My furbabies handled my absence beautifully. A few hiccups but no trip to the emergency vet. It isnt just about having someone feed them. Thats not an issue. They are special needs and my precious has a medical condition that can be life threatening. Neither cat will go near people so I have no one to supervise him.

@Radarears

Hi there, just catching up on your thread. How are you doing right now? Saw that you crashed/burned and are still picking up the pieces.

Was very interested reading about your beach and park visits and ideas. Being out in nature is so therapeutic for me. Finding a tree that makes me feel strong and grounded... and then sitting closeby and have a "little chat"...really makes me feel like I am not alone, and that I can recharge enough strength to keep my boat afloat.

We are always here when you need to chat or vent. Reach out!

Another sunrise to lift you up!

@OM108

I am absolutely sick as. Thanks for asking. My sinuses couldn't resist the opportunity to join the trauma party and I'm now on antibiotics which I'm thankful were available. My arthritis has flared everything hurts and want to indulge myself and throw a pity party. You are all invited I'll have lots of pity platters to share. Hopefully I won't get the double whammy I copped twice before and get bronchitis too. The oxygen debt does lower my mood. I appreciate the vistas. I can't go out to play and can't lift my head off the pillow so images on my phone are helpful I also miss the random encounters with complete strangers who also seem to come off second best with things like ladders and stairs. We laugh and compare damage. Sharing tales of EDs and Urgent Care trips and where to attend for what mishap is also fun. The waiting area of emergency for vets or humans is where people do bond and share and it eases the distress and reality of why you are there. I've been so traumatised by the sensory overload and trauma memories at my emergency trip that the 24 hours in the emergency ward felt like I'd been there for a week. I've been feeling so cold and can't stop shivering and shaking. My poor friend and I can't keep ourselves warm. We're swapping tips. Being Scottish she's eating truckloads of fatty foods. I'm using more fat too because I have no taste. My story I'm sticking to it. 😅🤣😂😇😇

@Radarears

my goodness that sounds intense.

your invitation is gracious but i might have to pass this week!

sending you healing vibes through the air waves.

one thing i have learnt from my daily sunrise experience, is that the most beautiful and intense sunrises are the ones where the sun is rising through clouds and rain....seems to be a law of nature that we are here to learn to love and see the beauty of both sides of ourselves and the world around us.

this was from this morning

@OM108 Hi it's me. I'm baack😅🤣😂. Tough gig living with ADD/ADHD, BPAD (Because my cousins daughter is BPAD 1 and I GIGGLE), CPTSD, EUPD (so I've been told) and the very real a to z physical ailments. I'm in a silly mood atm. I was discharged from HITH Friday (they love me so much they extend my stays) and I've been so sick with sinus infections that I've brought forward the next rounds of EMDR starting Friday. At least 4 on a fortnightly basis. I'm actually OK and fit to do them but the good old Mack truck has been leading a convoy and its coming back for more. There are lots of challenges ahead. I have 3 tests to check for serious issues and monitor changed and still don't know whether I'll get access to a specialist but my recent trip to hospital came with an opportunity to get most of my "senior health checks" done and got green lights with medications I currently use so huge relief. My challenge in the next phase of my journey will be to see how I can be coherent, congruent and succinct in regard to my communications. 😅🤣😂 wish me luck. A half page cv is the first task. 🫠

@OM108 sorry I meant to explain the reference to the mack truck is to do with the debility and depletion people like me experience with our illnesses treatments etc. The convoy reference is the supply trucks bringing the essentials. Still on a steep learning curve. Brain still not 100%

@Radarears

so glad that you can share here, how things have been going.... and not going...for you.

i got the truck reference...and could sense you were feeling like you had been hit by a mack truck...AND that is a feeeeling we can all empathise with. The fact that you survive such heavy blows is a testament to your resilience and undying spirit.... keep your head high and trust that soon you will be able to look back and understand things more clearly in hindsight.

"My challenge in the next phase of my journey will be to see how I can be coherent, congruent and succinct in regard to my communications". Would you like to share what communications you are refering to? What new phase of the journey are you heading into? If there is one thing I can say from our interactions here...you are most certainly good with words and you know how to use them to create colour and flavour to your communications...of course that often doesnt often go hand in hand with being succinct...so i feel for you there.

take good care of yourself

OM

Re: Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

@OM108 yes I'm trying to find a niche market for my lived and professional skills. I'm aiming to submit a short story for the Best Australian Yarn (12/8) I won't share the title just yet about my mh journey. It's a goal that will keep me strong through the coming weeks. I'm also attending a forum as a person who has lived most of her life with si. It's a funded project and I've been invited. I struggle so hard to communicate with people and learning to journal and story telling may help me with trying to communicate with the MH people. They don't appreciate that the irritability and frustration comes from my comprehension and oral limitations.
