Talking through trauma and PTSD

Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

A line from a song from my favourite artist. On struggle street atm. Having seriously bad flares with the cptsd and ongoing unusual "funny turns" that nobody seems interested in figuring them out. I suspect a drug may be a factor but am a john West reject from the public mh system. It's scary, severely restricting my functioning and I'm going backwards at 90 miles an hour. And I'm a waterfall. I was verbally abused by a male recently and it triggered me so badly. Everything has gone in the too hard basket. I'm beginning to hate Mondays. They've become an extension of weekends. I don't usually wallow but my body feels like it's run too many marathons and I can't busy myself out of my heads pace.

Nah, take your time @Radarears . Don't feel pressured to respond. I just want to make sure you know you aren't forgotten and we are here for a chat if you need one 🙂

Hope things are okay for you over the weekend.

@tyme Yes I think I am feeling the pressure to perform and have everything sorted by yesterday. It's the military "jump" "how high sir" syndrome that activated because my poor gp was explaining what needed to change due to my heart and

BP. We did have another discussion yesterday about not trying to do everything at once. 😅🤣😂 with guidance from my minders it actually does prove effective in achieving results.

However my precious little furbaby personalised my very expensive going out boot with some scratches and holes on the top. Just like dogs it's only ever one shoe or boot. Unlike dogs it's art, the heel is intact and they can be worn. 😅🤣😂

@tyme and whomever. Just reflecting on the fact that a "clean" environment in terms of my gym and pool rehab has been a game changer. Being able to work out without fear panic or triggers has lit the fire in my belly. With reduced anxiety and no panic nor trauma triggers the natural release of endorphins has been happening. I can feel the difference in my muscle spasms and contractions, my heart rate is controlled and I feel good. My body is relaxing. My pain levels are still high and yet another factor in my nightly pillow fight. Of course I have to go mad at it but one support worker is using her knowledge to control what and when and how much. Also able to check techniques etc. I've also lucked in with a new support worker who actually makes ME a cup of tea. And we have built a rapport. On the downside I'm out of the "resting" phase of the CPTSD and the adhd/ocd has also kicked in so lots of long days and nights ahead. Yet again the emdr has been delayed and postponed and it exacerbates the "episodes". Enjoying creating my own. "Go go" bars for days when a meal can't be put together and need something affordable and tasty to keep me healthy.

@Tilz you are most welcome to borrow my boots. I have a second pair and they are my special challenges boots. So the big girl boots are grounding me and weaving spells so the impossible becomes possible. The specials are for achieving the miracles. It's my take on the old adage "the impossible can be done at once miracles take a little longer." I'm gearing up for a rant about the so called mental health experts and their rationale for their questionable diagnoses and complete ignorance of any ND OCD CPTSD features that might just might mimic the common or garden BPAD/BPD coin toss diagnosis. Like the little girl in the taco ad. Hard or soft? Why not both. Meanwhile I'm back on 24hr monitoring and patrols thanks to the severity of my cptsd "flare". Oh woe is me. I'm a bit of a waterfall and testing everyone's tolerance for a crying sookie la la. But somehow the poor sucker and I end up having a laugh, a hug, a prayer or a good gossip. So you see MAGIC HAPPENS.

How kind of you. Can I borrow your boots too @Radarears ?

Also can I borrow your patience to train cats? I have a dog to train... I'm going bonkers with her puppy phase!

@tyme

My boots are for sharing. Only problem is they're VERY BIG.😅🤣😂 Hard to fill.

Ha ha ha. Serious case of puppy envy. It's the theory of the "PPPs" . Patience perseverance and persistence. Trust me puppies have reduced experienced vet nurses to tears. The trick is a little and often with regard to attention and only 5 minutes a day and one "trick" at a time in regard to training. As for house training. Puppies don't like splash. Rugs and carpets are favourite wee spots. Bladders need to mature and the 3 ppps are paramount. Puppy school is a hoot pet insurance is vital and you will suddenly have lots of friends wanting puppy cuddles. Enjoy.

Erghhhhh @Radarears .... I'm totally not ready for the puppy phase again. But what do you do when your sister hands over a coles shopping bag with an 8 week old cavoodle in it???

I reckon this will just be one undisciplined dog. And yes, she poos and wees everywhere. She chews everything up.

SOS!

Re: Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

@tyme several thoughts came to mind as regards the weekly Coles special.

Was it a twofer deal and did sis get one too?

Radarears is starting puppy boot camp. Crating Lil Mess and attending local airport with destination WA attention Radarears tag attached will solve the discipline issue. Long stay will ensure the worst is over and you will have the perfect pooch.

Of course there may be a ransom demand cash or kind accepted. All breeds considered.

Of course a 5 minute walk to post a letter will become an hour. Frequent stops due to interesting smells and a bunch of puppy cuddlers.

If it makes you feel better my precious scent marks when stressed by scooting. On the bed. Skid marks everywhere. Always turn on the light before you get up in the night. Kmart sell people clippers for $25. Start using u tube to groom her. It'll save you a fortune. Being a girl she'll love the beauty parlour. Boys hate haircuts. The local barber clears the lolly and chocolate shelves for his munchkins. I haven't caught mine yet.😅🤣😂

Re: Is there anybody out there (wanna lend me a hand)

Lol. No @Radarears . Only the one dog is enough... I looked at the pup today and noticed how much she's grown! Then again, once she's groomed, she may look a lot smaller.

True re grooming her at home... why not! I just won't need to take her out for a while. Allow the missing chunks of hair to grow back?
