Nothing

bit off the first birds for me just yet @Mazarita Neighbour has a rooster that's usually one of the first going off for me.. then I get the "real" ones. Never know what might be around. Lately it's been magpies. What do you get there?

@Spookytookims, crowing rooster sounds rural in a good way. Magpies make lovely sounds. We get them here too but not in huge numbers. This is more currawong territory. The rainbow parakeets (lorikeets?) flock in large numbers around the Norfolk Pines on the foreshore in various parts of the coast here. Sometimes we see pelicans, sea eagles, lots of butcher birds where we lived before. And bush turkeys all around the little national park near where we live. There's more, love the bird life.

@Mazarita sounds really lovely. Yeah a bit rural not really though. Apparently some people complained about the roosters... I mean seriously... I love them. Yeah they can sometimes get a little off kilter with their inner clocks but what kind of mean spiriited person would complain about them and try to get them destroyed. Why move to a nice out of town area if you want to be surrounded by urbanity? (that may not be a word but I'm using it anyhow! 😛 )

@Spookytookims, really, they wanted to have them put down? Dammit. Glad it didn't come off. The only sound I really object to where I live is aircraft. We're on a flight zone. Not directly overhead but close enough that they are a real presence in my days. Not necessarily the best for mental health but so many other things about living here are lovely and beneficial in that regard.

yeah aircraft can be annoying @Mazarita. Sometimes we get them over our house too, apparently it is wind dependent,which then changes direction of approach. Fortunately we aren't that close to the airport so they aren't really low even if they have to use this direction, but I am glad it's not something I have to contend with too often that's for sure. So can understand where you are coming from on that one.

@Spookytookims, they're flying low over the beach to land here. I have flashes of 'oh no it's going to crash' throughout my days. But on the sweeter side, I just went outside for a bit, lovely dawn chorus, relaxing. Light here now. Dawn is headed your way.

It certainly seems you have more good stuff there than the bad @Mazarita Isn't the dawn sky just gorgeous when it is in phase of night to day. So relaxing being in the moment with nature. Sounds so blah and naff, it's a shame our language is getting so cliched for really important things that connect us to the real sides of life not just the superficial $$ and material world.

@Spookytookims, I know what you mean about how cliched some things can seem. I have a bit of a skeptical/cynical streak at times. At other times I seem to be able to just go with the flow of ideas without interrupting them with critical thoughts. I like the material world of nature more than bucks. Just as well, cos I've never been much good at money.

I'd be happy living on an island like where I grew up... where the only "money" is shell money you can collect on the beach 😛 @Mazarita
