Who do you turn to when you need help?

You see I bottle everything up. I don't turn to family. I figure they have enough of their own worries. So then I get anxious and very agitated, because all this stuff is stuck in my head.Sometime I turn to beyond blue or lifeline on line chat. I cant talk to an actual person.Fear of criticism fear of not being understood of not being heard.Fear of being let down.Its a silent cry for help, and the truth of the matter is no one hears a silent cry for help. I feel like a little child who is being ignored when they've been hurt. But I also feel at the same time that Im attention seeking.and I should go away.

I have a good psychologist, but she is now away untill February. Psychiatrist not worth seeing at this point.

G.P saw him today, but wasn't that open with him even though it was to update my mental health plan.

Writing sometimes helps, but sometimes its scary to have it written down, it makes it real. So who to turn to when I need help?

Not too bad @Teej ...... we have landed in Christmas -New Year turbulence on the forums .... don’t know if you have been around enough to see .....

I’m in the country visiting my Dad for a few days.

I was holding my own. @Faith-and-Hope Have fallen in a heap. Messed things up and hurt someone. Feeling really alone and messed up. I’m not a good person. No one should get close to me. I’ll only hurt them.

I have hardly been on the forum. I am struggling being here to. I want to but keep chickening out.

Hurting others happens in relationships @Teej ..... but we all build resilience (gradually) and ride over these bumps. It’s about the caring, and apologising, and forgiving each other, and forgiving ourselves, then picking up the thread and moving forward again .....

Has there been any level of resolution with it so far ?

I’ve reached out to the person. I’m just waiting to see what happens now @Faith-and-Hope. Can you just chat with me for a bit about anything. I’m trying to be good but am fighting lots of urges. My emotions are out of control.

That will be a sense of panic @Teej ....please breathe slow and deep to regulate the fight-and-flight response ......

My Dad is on a property. He has rabbit diggings all over the lawn at the moment .... the rabbits are chasing moisture, so wherever he has been watering, they are digging. There are so many rabbits that we see them loping around the yard when we drive in, or looking out the windows.

I remember what rabbit plagues were like a bit. We had one one year where I lived @Faith-and-Hope. How long are you there for. Is it peaceful?

It’s very peaceful. I am enjoying not having time marshalled !

I am appreciating being here much more than I did when growing up in this town, at least for the time I was here. It has become an artier place, and they have cleaned up the town centre a lot.

That sounds lovely @Faith-and-Hope. I love small arty towns. There’s a nice peaceful feeling about them.

Im sorry I don’t know what else to say. I’m in a hole trying hard not to dig myself further in. I’m pretty messed up.

Re the title of this thread ..... I have turned to my Dad for help ..... just being here I can take a rest.

I caught up with a long-standing family friend today ..... laying down some contingency for my Dad and sister to help keep an eye on them while I am on the other side of the country.

They have decorated cray pots to look like Christmas wreaths in the town centre .... 😏
