Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hey @Determined does your darling mind if you make yourself home in the kitchen?

I do most of the cooking @Former-Member darling finds it too much most days 😞 on the good days I am redundant which I dont mind as she is a really good cook.

Does all of the school lunches, one thing she wont relinquish no matter hoe gard it is. Her way of showing our boys she loves them.

Do you enjoy cooking @Determined? Do the kids like trying new things?

I actually quite enjoy cooking if I am left to do my thing without interference.

There was a time that it was really painful to be in the kitchen, she used to hover and take things and wash them while I was still using them. Put food back in the fridge that was waiting to go in the pot, even threw stuff in the bin that was necessary for the dish. Made it almost impossible to do anything. Still gets under feet but not nearly as bad as what it was.

Bub and one of the older boys will eat pretty much anything @Former-Member, the other would not like oxygen if he had a choice. They definitely prefer mummys cooking though.

Was funny the first time darling went away for a break and I was doing school lunches, got some mud cake from the shops to go in the lunches, the respons was, what is this crap, mummy usually makes it for us and it way nicer. Sadly she has not done any baking like that in a long time.

Was going to try a pasta dish tonight but lost the inspiration last minute, reverted to pie and chips.

@Determined, when I fractured my ankle Mr Darcy was thrown in the deep end; the results from the kitchen were memorable for the wrong reason 😁😁😁
