Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hi @Former-Member, how are you tonight, trust mt Darcy ok and you are managing.

Keeping steady here, had a discussion this afternoon that served to confirm my concerns about current direction though 😔 there is an overwhelming sense of not wanting to go on.

Also had tears about shops being closed for public holiday on Monday. We usually do our weekly shop on Monday, a change in routine however is all too much at the moment.

@Determined it is heart wrenching ...Mr Darcy continues to be anxious but mood stabiliser is holding other thoughts and impulses at bay however he does not see how he can recover from past events. I am really thankful that I found the fresh hope web site. It gives me hope that we can live well in spite of his mental illness and I hold to defiant hope that he will somehow be able to reach this conclusion too.

The fresh hope website you linked me to is good @Former-Member, there is a support group bit over 2hr drive from us, I have wondered about making the effort to check it out if the opportunity ever arose.

Ahem @Shaz51 ...

This week as an act of self care I plan on trying 2 new recipes, savory muffins and mohill's salmon and anchovy linguine. It is self care for me because I love cooking and trying different things. Mr Darcy has been wanting to cook and I need to let him do that although his meals aren't flash so I have not had opportunity to cook as much.

@Determined I might check it out as I am hoping we might get up to Qld one day (Mr D has a brother there).
