Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Big relief to have those things off my radar @Former-Member, was concerned about letting people down, now i can just focus on the home situation without that worry.

Trust that it goes well for you with the upcoming appotment. Seems like a long time to wait when you have concerns.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

@Shaz51 ....

@Determined, this is meeting no 3, the treating team have conceded that they did not communicate adequately with me as Mr D's responsible person when he lacked capacity and as a result the staff are going to have to attend training in carer communication and I hope to get details of when this is to happen and what format it will take. (I have demanded it for docs, nurses and case workers). I have been whittling away at my second point which is potentially far more damaging if I am right (but I could be wrong). Don't really know what my response should be if I am right but will cross that bridge when needed.
In relation to Mr Darcy, I don't quite understand how the docs can differentiate the Dx but have a sinking feeling that meds might be adjusted with the poorer outcome differential Dx hypothesis in mind. He is steady in many ways, will see what happens.

Hope that works out for you in a positive way @Former-Member, I am often baffled by lack of carer communication or even regard for the value of carers and our input.

There are obligations under the mental health act @Determined

@Determined, was wanting to ask for a large coffee 'black and sweet' like my man, but it was not appropriate with the present company...
@Shaz51 good morning to you too

Steady here @Determined, letting Mr Darcy take his time with things and go with the flow. How are things at your end?
