Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Yeah well .... part of his condition ..... son has super-low Vit D apparently, which is causing depression and lethargy ..... not enough of an explanation for WH .....

See how we go .....

Focussing on Easter, and he spends a lot of time out of the house with his regimen, so we will just move around him as much as possible for now.

Glad I've got an answer for my son's state of being ..... was worried he was falling down under the pressure, which he is, but with medical reason.

Thinking of you ... I think it might be fair to say that most of us in the up and down thread know the hurt and frustrations that happen with our partners because of their mental illness. I think that we all diminish our feelings on the premise that others have it worse off than we do. Just letting you know that your feelings are important, that we understand that you have pain. Take care.

Thanks for the words and support @Former-Member In the darkness you all have been the initial small bit of light I needed to not go deeper into the darkness 💕

It sure hurts and it is really frustrating at times and the past month, particularly pass week it sure feels tough. It is tough to express it all because I don't want be told what I need to do because I already know what needs be done, that I need talk to him, but at moment I can't as my partner is away, uncertain when will see him...hoping it's soon so things at standstill. Scared of course that when we do it's the end even though I know if it does it will be for the better. But it's hard to think that way.

I find it hard to be honest with people right now because it'd be so easy for them to tell me I deserve better, and if it doesn't work out it's for the best. It isn't things I don't tell myself already but it's harder for the moment to really think that way and be OK no matter the outcome. It's hard not to hope for a better outcome.
