My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Is it 3 days until your trip to Darwin?

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I'm so sorry your Mum is so unwell again @Shaz51 . Very distressing to see our loved ones so helpless and clearly suffering. If there is any consolation, it sounds likely she will remain in hospital while you are away in Darwin. You can be confident she will receive the best care possible.

Knowing that, will not mean you're not going to worry of course. But you can be sure that you have done all you can to ensure her comfort and safety in your absence.

You sooooo need this short break away Shaz. I hope you manage to get some sleep tonight. If you do, I'm sure things will look just a bit more rosy tomorrow.

Hi @Shaz51

Your mother does sound so tired - that time comes to all of us and it is not easy - I have been there twice and that's enough - but it's very hard to face - and your mum is one independent lady -

Time away right now will do you good and knowing your mother is in hospital and being cared for is good - you really need the rest now as you have been working really hard and caring for Mr Shaz too - I hear you

I know about shoulders - I have had two operations on my left shoulder - the second was called an acromioplasty - it fixed it up and I recovered really quickly - and yes - wonky shoulders get noisy - mine sometimes sounds like a person trying to play and untuned guitar with long fingernails - eek - hate that noise - but it does speak of internal damage in the shoulder

I hope Mr Shaz sees a specialist soon but I know it's wait - wait - wait - and then finally you get an appointment - the public system is overwhelmed but that doesn't help the long queue waiting for treatment

All the best Shaz - thinking of you always

Dec
