Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hello @Former-Member , @Former-Member , @Janiee , @outlander , @Smc , @Faith-and-Hope , @Determined , @Appleblossom , @Adge , @Owlunar , @Jacques , @PeppiPatty , @Sophia1 , @Sophie1

ohhhh where do I start ,

ok , my uncle is not good , monday night the family was called in as it was going to be the last night , ---- he made it through the night but still not good

next my mum on monday night in the big hospital recovering from hip surgery --- doctor rang me to say that mum might need a blood tranfusion ---- tuesday did not need a blood tranfusion

mum has been tranferred to our local hospital last night for the rest of the recovery time , she is in a panic today as she is getting all the signs of another bowel obstruction

Me , have to have my blood pressure tablets increased, and more diabetes medication , saw endocrinologist , doctor and kidney specialist next week

yesterday I had a throat scan and ultrasound , get the results next week

last night had pain all down the left side of my face , did not go until lunchtime today

Mr Shaz had his physio on monday , went ok , the shoulder has been clanking ever since -- another physio next monday , shoulder sore now

Mr shaz appt with the Mental health doctor yesterday --- lots of questions, mr shaz did not like that

the doctor has put him on new tablets ---- he is worried now about that , and he is not looking forward to other meetings or therapy

and talk about pressure -- the doctor asked him how he is coping --- mr shaz said "That he watches me , as I don`t seem to worry "

@Shaz51looks like CCI in WA - is there something similar closer to home?

hopes soo @Former-Member , mr shaz won`t be looking them up or doing them

yes got lots of imformation for mum and help for mum when she gets home but , " How much help" will mum take is the question

my aunty says I need to step up , --- " I feel like telling my 82 year old aunty to tell her sister ( my mum) to take all the help but I know she wont and mum wont

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Your Mum and Auntie are my Mum's generation then. We couldn't persuade Mum to get in help at home, but she kept hinting that my sister could move 400kms "back home" to help them out. For assorted very valid reasons, that was completely out of the question. I know my Mum was, as the youngest and unmarried daughter, expected to look after her father. I guess the expectation that their adult children will do likewise is pretty strongly set.
