Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Yes I'm sending you positive, hopeful thoughts & wishes too @Shaz51

I would be very glad if I never had to see the inside of another hospital ever again - maybe your Mum would be too.

Although maybe that's not possible (sadly)....

Hello @Shaz51

My first time back on here since I took a break and found your tag amongst others..

Thank you ..

a warm feeling to come back to after taking a much need break that I always struggle to do...even though so easily tell others..

Having a loved one in and out of hospital is an emotional time for you...then hearing that they are going back in again is almost like the repeat button is stuck..

I practise telling myself that when a person goes into hospital it is because they are deemed as needing more medical care and monitoring...

It is the best place for them to be at that time as they are cared for by people trained in that field..

I am wondering if at the present a telephone call from you rather than a visit might provide you with some much needed self-care...you can of course speak to the nursing staff first requesting that they call you to advise of any changes..

You know the best answer for this Shaz

take care

I will be staying in place at living with ourselves for a while as most other threads are too busy for my head...which is already too busy...I am listening to my own advice and practising my own self care..

it is tricky at the moment to get the right balance , when things start to seem ok , something happens

there is so much going on a the moment that it is hard to put in time for self , but I am relaxing at the moment xxxx

might do a few things after since I did some things for mum this morning , Mr shaz is loving staying at home ,

sending you all hugs
