Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

@Shaz51 hope you hear about health care card soon. Would your diabetes take you over the line for DSP?

Aw @Former-Member

I sure do love the picture with the cuddly kitten giving the other kitten such a wonderful snugly time

My cat was doing that to me this morning - it made it hard to get up actually because it was so wonderful having a cat purring in my ear - and when I sat down with my coffee she got onto my lap purring again and I dozed off

Well it is Saturday - so who cares?

As I said - I love the picture - thanks for posting that -

Hello @Owlunar, @Former-Member, @Adge, @Jkate, @Former-Member, @Appleblossom, @PeppiPatty, @Former-Member, @Smc, @Determined, @Jacques, @Former-Member, @Faith-and-Hope, @outlander

I am confused , worried , don`t know what to do feeling , so many decisions and don`t know what to do and Mr shaz is no help at all but I know he wants me to be for him

my mum is still in hospital , she will need more care , she still lives in her own house

she won`t live in our house as the house was her and my dad`s first home -- too many memerories for mum -- which I totally understand because it took me a while to get over my emotions with the house -- my childhood house before leaving

mum and I moved in with grandma who needed looking after before she died

mum and i continued to live there until i got married and inherited dad`s house

Mr shaz will not move into mum`s house - not at all

with being self employed , mr shaz MI , my physical problems , mum`s care becoming more seems to be getting overwhelming

Oh @Shaz51 thats alot to deal with. Hugs and hugs sister

Are you able to arrange some inhome.care for your mum that way you can breathe abit? While shes in hospital perhaps have a chat to the drs and see if they can arrange something for you. Whilst your caring for your mum and mr shaz are you able to stop your other work? And go onto carers through centrelink

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

mum is very indepentant @outlander, if she can`t do it , I do it

we do nearly everything now which is ok but when I want to do more because I know mum will try to do things by herself ,

and mr shaz finds it hard to do more things than he is able and says he might have to go to the hospital

Hi my dear friend @Shaz51 thinking of you and Mr Shaz, it is a very difficult situation, maybe you can live with your mum and he can come over for meals. Just a thought

have not been approved yet @outlander to be a carer, taking a while , but then I would look after mum for nothing xx
