Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

'She asked what do you do for fun...

I laughed last time my gp asked me that @Shaz51, she didn't think that was very productive lol.

It is indeed @Shaz51 let's put on the lippy and paint the town red.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Sorry ladies, I tossed the lippy years ago. Hubby likes me unadorned. 😄 If I desperately wanted some, I could ask Younger Daughter. Except if I did something that out of character I think both she and Hubby would be asking "who are you and what have you done with my wife/mum". 😄

What do you do for fun.... yeah, that can be a hard question. Alongside what would you like to do for a day/evening out, where would you like to go for a holiday. We get so focused on making sure our beloveds are OK that we lose track of ourselves.

I know cosmetics are superficial and it what it is the heart that counts. To me they represent a little self care with foundation dulling the redness of my nose and chin and lippy giving a lift.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Shaz51

It's better for Mr Shaz to have a bed-day that a break-down - now that has to be true for everyone

I learned something troublesome a few days back - I felt horrified and since talked to my doctor - actually it doesn't concern me directly but I did have to sort it out - I came home and ate my way through the best part of a bag of snowballs and went to bed early and when I woke up - problem solved - it might concern me in the future but not likely to

I wish everything could be solved with a bag of snowballs - btw - that is not something I am likely to repeat in a hurry - Dec

It's very easy to have too many of these
