Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I can relate to most of what both of you describe @Shaz51@xtine

Traumatic childhood, emotional withdrawal. My background.

Yes it's very hard not to take that personally, or to think that you've done something wrong (when you haven't).

I've had ex girlfriends who displayed a lot of those characteristics - I sometimes do too, although there's no-one here to reflect that back to me (or observe).

My Mum has just sold my childhood home, which Dad lived in (& owned).

They had been separated for 8 years, before he died. The money from sale was promised to me & my siblings (an equal amount each).

She has her own house (no debt), with a guaranteed income (from Dad's superannuation) for the rest of her life.

Instead Mum has kept the entire house sale amount for herself.

Hi there @Adge
You are probably aware that there will be an update to the system tomorrow (June 5) so let's hope that the Likes will be working properly after that. From time to time there are glitches, so thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Yes thanks for reminding me @Former-Member

A system update, I just re-read all the posts on that thread (to refresh myself).

You're welcome.

I really like your Avatar, I'm a fan of Euchalypts.
