Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

@Former-Member @Shaz51 ..... we are all here because we love those we care for so much, but calling a spade a spade when things are emotionally rough / frightening / confusing is also important, and nobody thinks of it as anything else .....

Its a complaint against the illness and the circumstance, when you can separate the person from their illness ..... and nobody chooses to be unwell this way .....

”There but for the grace of God go I ..... “

Having almost fallen off a wobbly ladder (3 metres up) several times, whilst using an electric hedge-trimmer - Yes @Adge, mr shaz has been there done that, but the ladder fell down he fell on top of the hedge

I had to pick up the ladder, the trimmer was still going and boy was I shaking

Good morning @Determined, @Faith-and-Hope, @Former-Member, @Former-Member,

Oh yes @Shaz51 That does not sound fun...

Hopefully you don't have a repeat of it...

Brilliant picture @Determined Of exactly what not to do...

I don't want to be the person on that ladder...

I forgot..

This is where we're supposed to say:

"Don't try this at home" (leave it to the experts), or something like that...

'Afternoon @Faith-and-Hope @Shaz51 @Determined

Ended up taking Mr D to hospital after speaking to put of hours medical phone service as he was struggling again this morning, muscle strain the most likely cause.

Noticed when he was getting ready he put his good leg in trousers first and then had difficulty, then contorted himself to put his crook side down jeans leg ... I suggested he might find it easier if he does it the other way round ... not even willing to try.
