My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Hi @Determined - the day got a bit better. Despite the horrendous weather here in the west it was dry enough to play tennis. So off we did to play tennis in the wind and cold...no rain though. I really needed it to take my mind off things and also help me be positive. Right now I feel somewhat positive but who knows what tomorrow will bring. For now I will hold on to this positivity.

That is great to hear about your uni exams. Haven't done an exam in years so I don't remember much about sitting them other than the nervous feeling! Do hope your darling does alright tomorrow. Have a fingers and toes crossed xx

Hi @Shaz51 @Faith-and-Hope @Anony18 @Maryjune @Former-Member

How has your day gone? I trust everything has gone well for you.

Have not had a bad day here, batteries running low at the moment though, its been a long day.
Have another hour of work to go but have a break for the next 1/2 hour. zzzzzzz

My darling has gone well so far today, I brought bub to work with me to make the school run easier for her this morning and she picked him up after. Bub enjoyed exploring and chatting up all the ladies and it made things much easier for my darling, win - win. Big boys went to Grans after school an will come home later after I get home.

Hi everyone!

Hi @Determined so good to hear you've had a good day and you and your wife are doing well.
Things have been much better until this afternoon 😞
My partner is doing an online course and I thought he was on top of everything, but turns out there are a few things he's a little late on and now the college is wanting more money to give him extra time.
This was taken as a huge blow to him. I want to sit down and go through it all with him and find out exactly what needs to be done and get on top of it but he zones out and procrastinates whenever I try and do that.
When he's in these moods it's hard to find the right way to help that won't make him feel degraded or inferior.
I'm still at work for the next hour and then I have an hour and a half drive home, so I feel horrible that I can't be there for him.

Sorry for being quite negative, it does help to have this place to express myself though!

Hi @Rose96

Please don't feel bad for getting your negative thoughts out,
I agree it does help to be able to get things out (think out loud as I call it)
I have been mostly negative myself lately so can relate to how you feel. Having this space to talk about things has been so helpful to my wellness, this flows on to my darlings wellness I find.

it seem odd that they require more money for an extension on assessment,
I have been very lucky with how accommodating my university and the teaching staff have been, I dont think I could continue at the moment without that support.

I trust that you can support your partner in this and can get on top of the course work. I often get behind in my assessment so feel his pain and frustration.

It will be a long afternoon for you, I will be thinkng of you and trust you have a safe drive home.

HI @Determined - day is not too bad. Busy and got a spring to my step despite what is happening in my life, ie still no contact from my partner as I am hoping and therefore in this "limbo" of are we ok or not in his eyes. Think soon enough one will have to reach out and see where his headspace is at.

Am so glad to hear things are well today for you and your darling has gone well. We always need to appreciate the good days we have.

Hey @Determined

Glad to here it went ok, things went OK at this end too. Got some carer support today; it was really helpful.

Mr Darcy offered to drive me and I was grateful as I did not sleep so well last night. He went to the library and had lunch while I did my thing. I suspect he did not want to be on his own for most of the day.

Hope it goes OK for you tomorrow.

Darcy
