Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hi @Shaz51 I am feeling pretty anxious. I find it difficult to know if my partner really likes me sometimes, like romantically. He’s got an ex chasing his heels a bit and I get the feeling he’s not fully letting go either. I don’t feel like I’m the only woman on his mind. It’s hard to cope with 😔

sending you knowing hugs @xtine

for me being the second wife and stepmum to 4 adults children , was hard as we would always have contact with the ex because of the children when they were younger and the family

a lot better now as the children are adults but still the children talk to their dad about their mum

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

This is the great thing about my relationship with my partner. I can talk calmly with him about things. We had a quick chat just now and he reassured me. I was careful to separate out my thought distortions and just talk about my feeling insecure and why I felt that way. I feel a bit better now xx

After getting my teeth done, I have had a GP check. Have now completed blood testing, Xray and ultrasound and will now book back in to get results (did not want to make follow up till all three exams done).
