Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

thank you @Shaz51

it is very hard - im struggling with it today. im so tired and exhausted too which is compounding how i feel. i cant remember when i last had a decent nights sleep - im on alert for mum. may i ask what signs your mum is displaying?

mum is starting to forget things (usually her memory is flawless), she's not sleeping at night - even after taking her sleeping meds she will stay up for hours - she is not getting much sleep at all and looks so drowsy during the day, her behaviour is changing - mum is a very calm and placid person but her moods are up and down - she will be okay but shortly after will become irritable. she will also sit for long periods of time and stare into nothing while nodding or shaking her head. it may be the mental illness worsening and her medications need to be reviewed, and perhap changed.

how are you @Shaz51? xxx

it may be the mental illness worsening and her medications need to be reviewed, @Bella1978, be good to be reviewed and maybe bring your concern to her doctor
