Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Hi @Former-Member .... I wasn’t able to get a response to the donations that matched their quality. I ended up re-doing the linen in my dad’s house over west as the linen we were donating was a major upgrade on what he was using .... and then he donated all his now-excess linen directly to a charity in his town. I am progressively doing that with other friends, family and acquaintances.

Door closes, window opens ...... 👍

Main thing is a pleasing solution found @Faith-and-Hope ... bit at a time eventually gets things done.

That has been the story of my life @Former-Member, but one I am comfortable with ..... slow and steady .....

Not sure how much is attributable to boy dog leaving us, but sadly even before this was seeing an increase in anxiety and other symptoms @Determined, not SI, but others that are taking away from his quality of life.

Does change in season have much effect usually?
It can sometimes here.

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

His worst times have historically been around Spring @Determined, sadly I think the necessary dose reduction in one of his drugs has contributed to the decline. I will be sending a monthly report through to case worker who he is seeing this week, his follow up appt with pdoc was already brought forward a couple of weeks but am wondering if they will think Mr D needs to be seen even sooner.
