What you said about being seen in a different light is true, I have definitely come a long way since then, it is easy to loose sight of this however when I constantly feel inadequate. I am still quite intolerant in so many areas and I worry about going back to that place if I were ever forced back into full time work in order to provide for our family. (I am currently stressing about managing 2 days of work that I have picked up next week, this happens twice a year. The work us far from challenging but does carry some responsibility and requires being on site for the 2 full days so no opportunity for naps). As well as the normal course work and an exam for the week. However yes, on reflection I can see some clear growth and some clear examples come to mind to support this.
Yes my family means everything to me, they are the reason I get up each morning and don't stay in bed feeling sorry for myself. I certainly aspire to go out and do things with our boys but sadly still lack the energy and motivation to do this as often as they would like 😞 we have a boat that hasnt seen the water since I dont know when.
On that note, I potentially may finally have an answer to explain the extreme fatigue that I have had for so long rather than simply being written off as depression. Not sure how I feel about this though and am anxious about the follow up to find out more.
I recently had some abnormal blood tests come back, when the GP checked back over my records it turned out that these same results had been abnormal for a number of years but because they did not make sense were discounted as inaccurate. Because they had been 'out' for so long the current GP referred me to a specialist to seek a second opinion.
Initially this did not concern me as I have had so many tests it was a case or -whatever-.
The concern came when yesterday we were at the dr's office for an appointment with my darling and the GP commented 'WOW, you have an appointment already, they must be worried'
*I had an appointment confirmed in less than 2 weeks from the date of referral and the actual appointment is for less than 5 weeks from the date of referral, apparently unless it is urgent it usually takes 6 months or more to get to see this particular specialist in the public hospital system if you can get in at all. So now I am worried. (Google can be more of a detriment than good at times like this 😞 )
Just one of those times when it would be nice to share in my fears and worries with my darling, sadly this is not possible as she would not handle the unknown. Worse than that, the uncertainty of how she will cope if in fact there is a significant problem 😞 I am sure it will be fine but the unknown and potential consequences are getting the better of me just now.
On top of this, at a meeting with the school yesterday discussing curriculum plan and the transition to high school next year (another task that I do alone as my darling cant cope) it was recommended that we should consider transitioning to special school next year. Wow,I was not expecting that 😞
Well I got a bit off topic here but was easier to get it out in a single post, trust I have not been to hard to follow.
