Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

Hello @PeppiPatty, over here my special friend xx

Hello Everyone

Love to hear from others on the forum if you experience this

My hubby has been diagnosed with lots of things and has had MI all his life

do you find things goes ok and i start to feel confident and wanting to go forward and then everytime something always happens to upset it -- sometimes I think is it a controlling thing ?? that he wants to be in control ??

Don`t know if I am making this up , but i have that feeling ,

Re: Ups and Downs of Husband`s Mental Illness

I reckon I would be spewing choice words by that stage @Catcakes ..... as I am right now with D2 ..... 😡

Came home this afternoon feeling exhausted, so asked her to put all the shopping away that needed the fridge. She headed off to get changed into comfier clothes .... I asked where she was going .... she told me ..... I said no, not until you have put the fridge foods away. She stripped, but went ahead with unpacking them.

I lay down and dozed for an hour or so, but have stayed resting for another hour. She knocks on my door and asks if it’s okay if she puts the shopping away now .... standing there changed into comfy clothes .....

Fridge foods have now been left out for 2.5 hours .....

Different if she was lacking in understanding, but she is not. This is vindictive behaviour, and then she will apologise as if she didn’t understand .... trading on her disability ..... and you can be suckered into it until you realise she is smirking to herself at her “achievement” ..... she “won” by guile ..... completely ignorant to the consequences of the unrefrigerated foods.

😡

This is her response to our mr. situation ..... with everyone else wobbly, there has been a dramatic escalation of these behaviours in her. I am too emotionally drained to stay on top of it.

Given you are multilingual @Catcakes, were these choice words muttered in English, en Francais or did you sprechen De Deutsch?

Have just told D2 she is having toast for dinner instead of the special Lenten meal I had shopped for the two of us. She will remember not to pull this stunt again ..... grrrr

Impressed with your repertoire of choice words @Catcakes .... 👍

I hope Mr Shaz does feel a bit better for doing the mowing. When do you get his pathology results?
